How much time does Jon need to set-up / rehearse prior to his presentation?

Assuming everything on the rider is provided and ready, including the cameras… assume 45 minutes to set up / camera rehearsal. If prior to set up the production crew or the the client can put together the DROP CLOTH HANGING FROM PIPE PROP (see Keynote Rider) that would save time and help out.

In fact, it is our typical policy to try to arrive the day before the event to insure flight cancelation, weather, etc does not inhibit Jon from performing at your event. To that end, if possible, we would like to have access to the venue the day / night before to set up the stage as best we can prior to official sound check / walk through. If this is possible please have the items from the “PROP” section of the rider and the 6ft table ready.

We have heard about Jon’s VIP close-up card shows. What does this entail? How do we schedule these?

A fan favorite experience for sure. Jon started doing “Private VIP Card Shows” for casino VIP’s years ago and it has been a huge success. We suggest the groups stay around 10-20 people per show. But sometimes, as seen in this picture, the crowd grows. It’s an easy setup. A table and chairs circling the table. We suggest barstools if a second row is needed. A recommended show length is 45 minutes or it can be as short as you would like. We have done events where the client wanted to rotate groups of 20 people in and out and do multiple 30 minute shows. Great idea and that works for us as well. Inquire about this experience to learn more.

Can we use Jon’s name and likeness to market the event?

  • Headshots, etc, can be found here - https://www.jondorenbos.com/infoyouneed - These can be used to help promote the event but not afterwards.

  • If you want, Jon will record a “teaser” with information you provide him regarding the event for you to use to help promote the event. Think of it like a reminder / promo / commercial for you to use.

Regarding Jon’s book…

  • What is the bulk rate price? — It depends on the amount - 40% off - usually around $17.00 and it includes shipping to you.

  • Will Jon sign the books? — Yes. Logistics TBD. Another option is Jon signs book plates and the book plates are mailed to you. The book plates are then stuck to the inside of the books.

Specific details around the event…

  • How early does/would Jon arrive for our event? — We try and arrive the day before

  • What would a VIP pre-event reception look like involving Jon? — It’s your call. Usually a step and repeat with a photographer or cell phones. Booking signing. cocktails and card tricks.

  • What is his availability to participate in other parts of the event (e.g. award ceremony, auction, etc)? — Jon is typically pretty good about going “all in” for your event.

Will Jon stick around for a meet and greet?

Of course. We value the importance of meeting people and taking a few minutes to make a meet and greet experience memorable for your guests, VIP’s and executives.

Things happen, especially in live entertainment. Can Jon be flexible if things change last minute?

Jon is extremely flexible and can improv any situation. Even if it means you need Jon to stall an extra 10,15, 20 minutes on stage.

On the rider it has specific spray paint colors and tape. What if we are having a hard time finding those specific colors?

The colors on the rider are the ideal colors. But don’t stress. Worse case try and find 4 distinctly different colors and everything will be ok. The tape is used to tape the spray cans. It looks better on stage and easier for the audience to see the distinctly different color cans. Try to find tape that matches the colors of the spray paint you purchased. If for some reason you are having trouble finding tape… don’t worry. The trick will work without the tape.

Will Jon join us at the cocktail reception the night before his presentation?

If Jon has arrived in town when the reception is taking place - the answer is usually “yes.”

Will Jon join us after his presentation for the after party?

Schedule permitting the answer is usually “yes.”
